Stadium Brewing Co’s Blueberry Ale, a delicious resolution

If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to be more adventurous and try new things (or even if it wasn’t…), then why not start off 2010 on the right foot by sampling a tasty, fruity, blueberry ale from Stadium Brewing Co in Aliso Viejo? This fantastic brew is typically available at Stadium during the fall and winter seasons, with some of their other signature fruit ales (think raspberry, peach and apricot) being brewed during the spring and summer.

Piqued your curiosity yet? It gets better. Stadium’s Blueberry Ale is deliciously light and crisp for an ale, with a slight sweetness that probably comes from the fact that this beer is infused with the juices of real blueberries during the brewing process. And, to add to the uniqueness of this fruity brew, if you order a pint at the brewery it comes garnished with fresh blueberries. All in all, it’s a distinct brew that makes the trip to Stadium even more worthwhile, no matter what the season.

But, if blueberry beer (or beer with real blueberries in it) sounds a bit risky to you, then worry no more about breaking those resolutions. This interesting beer, along with about five other house brews on tap, are available for a very un-risky $2.50 a pint during Stadium’s unbeatable Happy Hour, which runs Monday through Friday from 3-6 pm. And for the even less adventurous, $4 well drinks, house wine, house margaritas, and $4-$7 appetizers are also available for consumption.

So, get out there and enjoy a Blueberry Ale while it lasts… and let me know what you think!
